Questions

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to give my name or contact details to see quotes?

No. You provide your gender, birth date, your general health status in everyday terms, tobacco usage, how much coverage you need, and the length of the term. Just those six pieces of information are sufficient for carriers to provide rate quotes. Your personal details and health history only get collected if you decide to proceed with an application.

Are the monthly prices shown the price I will pay?

These are the specific premiums each insurer quotes for the health bracket that corresponds to your answers. Your actual premium, determined by the carrier after review, might confirm that bracket, put you in a better category, or place you in a different category. This website makes no guarantees and is not an insurance offer or pricing promise.

What happens when I click Apply?

You provide your name, and your selected quote becomes the basis for creating an application, which then moves to the insurance company's own secure application system. Pause and come back at any point, and sign electronically. Susman Insurance Agency manages the application; it is a licensed California broker (License 0B75129).

Will I need a medical exam?

That depends on the specific insurer, your requested benefit amount, and what you reported. Carriers offering same-day determinations can approve right away for applicants who qualify; each quote indicates whether an exam is mandatory, may be requested, or is not needed.

Is a longer term better?

Match the term to the years when an income earner's death would create financial hardship: a home mortgage, dependent children, education funding, or business loans. Longer terms mean paying more monthly but locking in the rate for more years. This site's tool lets you see pricing for 10, 15, 20, 25 and 30 year spans side-by-side.

Does this site sell my information?

Absolutely not. The quote tool requests no email or phone information, we do not share or monetize visitor information, and our first-party analytics honor privacy settings and the Do Not Track protocol and Global Privacy Control. We also employ a cookieless tracking mechanism from our content delivery network that doesn't detect Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control settings. Review our privacy policy for complete details.
